Questions About Village Impact Answered

What is Village Impact?

Village Impact is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to education for children in underserved communities in Nakuru, Kenya. We build schools, equip classrooms, and partner with local leaders and entrepreneurs to create lasting change.

Our work focuses on children in underserved and conflict-affected communities in Nakuru, Kenya. By providing safe, nurturing spaces for learning, we empower children with the education and resources they need to thrive.

We believe in going deep, not wide. By focusing our efforts in Nakuru—a region still recovering from the 2007-2008 election violence—we can build meaningful partnerships and address the unique needs of the communities we serve.

We work closely with local leaders, educators, and grassroots organizations to identify and address critical gaps in education infrastructure and resources. Every project is community-driven, ensuring it reflects local needs and creates sustainable impact.

While our primary focus is education, we support communities during challenges to ensure that education continues uninterrupted. This includes addressing infrastructure needs and providing resources for safe and effective learning.

Our projects are funded through generous contributions from monthly donors, entrepreneurs, and visionary partners who believe in the power of education to break the cycle of poverty.

We are committed to transparency. Because a large portion of our overhead is paid by our Founder’s company’s and their partners, a significant portion of every donation directly supports our programs, ensuring children receive the resources they need to access education. In 2024 this means that X amount of every dollar donated goes to programs.
