GEDSB Presentations

January 24, 2008

The last two weeks have been extremely busy.

Stu and I have been visiting many of the schools who supported World Teacher Aid in December. It has been wonderful to be welcomed into the schools to share what we experienced while we were in Ghana.

Our presentations were about 35 minutes long. It was so neat to see the children’s faces, their interaction during the pop quiz and hear their questions at the end.

At the end of many of our presentations we had students of all ages coming up asking how they could donate money to help with our cause. Keep your eye on the web site, because shortly I will add their picture to the site. We had children of all ages wanting to help, including students in Kindergarten all the way up to Grade Eight! Way to go Grand Erie and THANK YOU!

We also had some special experiences with Branlynn Community School in Brantford. Mrs. H invited us back to her classroom where students were able to share their ideas with us. Keep your eyes open for this as well. As they plan to do some more fundraising to help with our Feeding Program in Ghana. Thank you Mrs. H and Branlynn Public School.

Again I would just like to thank all students and teachers who were involved in our board wide fundraiser this past December. We look forward to working with you again next year.
