Meet "Mr. Nobody"

As you know this past February 10th was our third Write To Give Day at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford.

The day was a great success, it is always so fun to see the children singing and dancing to African songs as well as seeing their reactions from the pictures we show them of the children in Africa and the difference they have made in another country through their writing.

However, this past Write To Give Day Stu and I were in for a special treat.

We got to meet Lirum and “Mr. Nobody.”  Mr. Nobody is a soft toy that Lirum is taking around the local community to learn about organizations that are making a difference.

It was an honour to sit down with Lirum for ten minutes to answer any questions he had about World Teacher Aid and the Write To Give Program.  In fact, make sure you keep your eyes on the Hub Newspaper, as his story will be coming out soon.  He has been very busy learning about local organizations.

The picture is one that was taken by his mom, Monica, editor of The Hub.  In it you can see myself (looking very pregnant :), my husband, Lirum and of course Mr. Nobody.

Thank you to Lirum for wanting to know more about Write To Give and World Teacher Aid.  Your article will help spread the word about helping bring education to those who are less fortunate in Developing Countries.
