Today, after your long journey, take a moment to unwind and settle into Kenya’s vibrant atmosphere. Enjoy the luxurious amenities at the esteemed JW Marriott, your sanctuary for relaxation. Later, we invite you to a Welcome Dinner & Meeting—an ideal setting for everyone to connect and prepare for the adventures ahead.
Alternatively, if you’re keen to immerse yourself in Nairobi’s rich culture, consider spending the morning exploring its bustling streets, colourful markets, and historic sites for a truly captivating start to your journey.
Day 3, July 15, 2025
During breakfast, enjoy some time to mingle with your fellow travellers. Once everyone has finished, we’ll briefly touch base before setting off for the school visit. We’ll pause at the Great Rift Valley and stop in a small town for lunch. After lunch, our journey continues to Village Impact’s first school, Shalom Primary. There, you’ll have the opportunity to meet some students and discover the significant impact the school has had on the community. We will proceed to the designated school site after our visit to Shalom Primary.
Day 4, July 16, 2025
Construction day is here! You’ll spend the day working side by side with local Kenyans, putting the finishing touches on the school.
Day 5, July 17, 2025
It’s time to celebrate! You will take part in the opening celebration for the school, together with the local village, community leaders, and other dignitaries.
Day 6, July 18, 2025
After breakfast, you’ll have one last opportunity to join the families and children in celebrating the school’s opening and bid farewell before we return to Nairobi. Once back at the hotel, you’ll have time to relax and unwind. Dinner will be on your own at the hotel, providing a perfect moment to reflect on your experiences at the school.
Day 7, July 19, 2025
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll explore Nairobi’s highlights. Our journey includes visiting the Giraffe Centre, where you can feed the giraffes and, if lucky, maybe even receive a gentle giraffe kiss. We’ll also stop by The Opportunity Factory, a collective of local makers, wander through a traditional market, and enjoy a few more surprises as our day unfolds.
Day 8-11, July 20-23, 2025
After breakfast, we will head to Wilson Airport where you will board a charter flight to the great Masai Mara for your safari stay at Governor’s Camp. Encompassing 1,672 square kilometres, Masai Mara National Park is famed for its extraordinary wildlife and bird watching. The park’s landscape of rolling golden grasslands, dotted with acacia trees, rivers, and lush forests, offers a stunning backdrop that imprints on you a profound sense of the vastness of nature.
Visiting in August aligns perfectly with the Great Migration, an iconic spectacle where millions of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and gazelles, traverse the landscape between the Serengeti in Tanzania and the Mara.
Named Kenya’s top safari lodge in 2022, Governor’s Camp offers a truly immersive safari experience. Its unfenced boundaries allow close encounters with resident wildlife, including resident warthogs and occasional elephants, making for an unforgettable stay.
Day 11, July 23, 2025
After leaving the enchantment of Masai Mara, we’ll return to the JW Marriott, where a day room will be available for you to pack and organize your belongings. Here, we’ll gather for our final dinner together, a time to debrief and reflect on the experiences shared throughout our journey. Later, we’ll proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your late-night flight.
*If your flight departs the next day and you wish to extend your stay at the JW Marriott, we can facilitate this arrangement. Please be aware that while the official trip concludes on July 23, we will gladly arrange your transportation to the airport; however, there will be no further activities planned if you choose to stay an extra night.

How much does the kenya experience cost and what does it include?
The trip is priced at $8000 USD per person and covers all transportation, meals, accommodations, domestic flights, and safari excursions. Please note that the cost does not include alcoholic beverages, tips, medical expenses, or international flights to Nairobi.

FAQs
Yes, we encourage everyone traveling to Kenya to visit a travel doctor before arriving. You will want to make this visit at least six to eight weeks before you depart.
Visas are no longer needed to enter Kenya BUT you will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA). You can check out more information here- https://www.
At this time, we are asking for a $1000 USD deposit per family, by May 31, 2024. If you are bringing a guest or your family we will ask for a $1000 USD deposit per person and August 1, 2024 payment for all guests is due.
Partial payment deadlines are indicated below:
Payment 1- $1750 Due by Aug. 1, 2024
Payment 2- $1750 Due by Oct 1, 2024
Payment 3- $1750 Due by Jan 1, 2025
Payment 4- $1750 Due by Mar. 1, 2025
*If you would like to bring a guest or family, we will need to know by August 1, 2024. A deposit (non-refundable) and payment 1 will need to be made to secure their spot.
Your trip experience must be paid in full by March 1, 2025.
We totally understand that things may change and you are no longer able to attend our Kenya Experience. Depending on the notification of your cancellation will depend on the amount we can refund. Your refund will not include the non-refundable deposit of $1000 USD.

50% Refund- September 2 to December 1, 2024
0% Refund- December 2, 2024- March 1, 2025
We will begin regular Zoom meetings in February 2025 that will share details about the trip, Q&A and your chance to meet people traveling with you.
Please note that as we get closer to our departure date, we will begin monthly Zoom calls to chat about the trip agenda, answer questions and help you prepare for this experience. You will be sent a digital departure package that includes everything from a packing list, community info, and more.
